At Wrighton Aviation, we are passionate about turning aviation dreams into reality. As a provider of Recreational Aviation Australia (RAAus) flight training in modern and highly advanced aircraft, we offer an efficient and cost-effective pathway into the world of aviation.

RAAus provides the fastest way to obtain your wings in a safe, fun, and affordable platform. Whether you are looking to fly as a hobby or start a career as a pilot, RAAus is the perfect starting point.

What is RAAus?

RAAus stands for Recreational Aviation Australia. RAAus oversees and regulates activities related to recreational flying, including flight training, licensing, and aircraft operations.

RAAus provides a framework for individuals to engage in recreational aviation activities in a safe and regulated manner. This includes the training and certification of pilots, the registration and airworthiness of recreational aircraft, and the establishment of guidelines and standards for safe flying practices.

Your Pilot Certificate

Training under the RAAus Syllabus of Flight Training, you will learn how an aircraft flies, how to plan and prepare for flights, as well as master all the skills you will need to fly, including emergency training, reading aviation weather forecasts, and making the right decisions as a skilled pilot.

Once you receive your pilot certificate, you will be able to take to the skies as a fully qualified recreational pilot, with many pilots electing to enhance their flying skills through additional training and advanced endorsements.

If your goal is to make flying a career, Wrighton Aviation offers a seamless conversion process to transfer your RAAus Pilot Certificate into a CASA licence which you can then continue on with us to obtain your Private or Commercial licence. Hours flown with RAAus count towards achieving your recreational or professional goals.
